A 9am shoot in the cold down a back alley. This shoot displays exactly why photography does not require an expensive model, equipment or scenery. just an eye, a lens and a friend (the beautiful face is optional, Ayla is just naturally bloody incredible). Click a photo to begin the gallery...My project for fashion photography was to conduct a 1960's inspired shoot. My aim was to imitate the lighting, colours and texture of the photograph, however I was also lucky enough to have this beautiful babe model for me that looked incredible after being brave enough to let me create this Twiggy style look on her! Final pieceAfter choosing Twiggy as my model inspiration I recreated her iconic makeup, alongside this I have dressed my model in a similar jumper to make sure the light reflection and overall image comparison is similar. To add a twist to my photographs I have chosen to use a black backdrop, my intention was to experiment with accentuating the highlights instead of the shadows. As a result of this I found the studio light contributed to making her eyes the focal point of the image. Although I decided to contrast my backdrop I have still successfully imitated the the correct exposure and shadow. To produce my photos I used a soft box light to the right of her face and a reflector beneath her chin. When running the images through photoshop I edited the exposure and added soft freckles to her face.
